We recently moved to our small 4-acre farm in August, 2010. Since that time, we've been working very hard to create a small, sustainable agricultural business.
We currently have chicken and duck eggs available for sale on the farm in our self-serve sales room. As the year progresses, we will have chicken, duck, goose and turkey meat available in limited quantities. We focus on rare and heritage breeds.
Adoption Acres is also home to a small flock of sheep and a couple of goats. The bees will be arriving at the end of April and, with any luck, honey will be available for sale later in the year.
We will be planting berries and fruit in 2011, but won't have any available for sale this year. We also will have some vegetables for sale later in the year, as well as birdhouse gourds.
Days / Hours of Operation:
Our self serve sales area in the house are open during the day, regardless of whether or not we're home.
We are located in Racine County, 3 miles east of Burlington on Hwy 142. Our property borders Wheatland Road and is located on the south side of the road.
