Lake Country Fine Arts School And Gallery at 112 West Capitol Drive in Hartland will once again recreate a firing technique from 16th century Japan. The actual translation of Raku in Japanese is “Happiness by chance”. To potters around the world it means temperatures of 1850 degrees Fahrenheit, the glow of red-hot pottery and the flash of fire. L.C.F.A. will be hosting the bi-annual Raku Workshop on May 22, 2004 from 10 am until evening, open to the public to observe and participate in the amazing ancient art. Call 262-367-2900
