Our farm is diversified as we grow a number of products. We have grown fresh market vegetables for many years. We grown many different types of herbs for plant sales and then our main summer crops include Cabbage, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Peppers of many kinds, Squash and Pumpkins. We always try out a few new varieties to keep our produce up to date.
We also raise Purebred Berkshire pigs that we have processed into honey ham sticks and many other specialty cuts. The meat is top of the line in flavor. It is considered equal in taste to what Angus would be in the beef industry.
The last several years, the family has also gone into producing Bird seed, primarily Black Oil Sunflowers.
Our family farm just celebrated 150 years in the family. My children are the 7th generation. Agriculture is and has always been our main business.
